Before You Begin
- Ensure your window has a rubber beading between the frame and glass.
- Confirm there's at least 3cm of clear space around all edges of the window frame.
-
How to Measure Your Window
- Using a tape measure, measure the width and drop of the visible glass pane in three different positions.
- Note down the smallest width and height measurements, excluding the rubber beading.
- Top Tip: Exclude the rubber beading from your measurements – only measure the glass.
-
Measuring the Bead Depth
- Place a credit card across the corner of your window frame.
- Measure from the glass to the edge of the credit card to determine the bead depth, typically between 1.8cm (18mm) and 3cm (30mm).
